This or That Book Tag

I’ve been tagged for yet another cool tag by the lovely Jenna @ Bookmark your Thoughts, who you should visit as she has a beautiful and interesting blog! This one is pretty interesting, and it got me thinking, so here we go:

 

READING ON THE BED OR THE COUCH?

My couch is my bed.

If I had both, I’d definitely choose the bed, because I like to wrap myself in pillows and blankets and not exist for a couple of hours in the real world. Book worlds are the best.

MALE MAIN CHARACTER OR FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER?

I don’t really make a difference in this area, but we all must admit there used to be more male characters in fantasy than the female ones. That’s changing pretty quickly now, and I find myself enjoying the female perspective more, and multiple POVs including both.

SWEET SNACKS OR SALTY SNACKS WHEN YOU’RE READING?

Oh god don’t make me choose. Let’s go with sweet ones, cause chocolate makes me happy, salty snacks make me greasy, and that’s not good for the books.

TRILOGIES OR QUARTETS?

Duologies, ha! But if I have to choose, then trilogies, because the fourth book is often unnecessary, except in the case of The Raven King of course.

FIRST PERSON POV OR THIRD PERSON POV?

Hmm, both can be good, if done well, but first person kind of feels more personal, so I choose that one.

READING AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING?

Night!

LIBRARIES OR BOOKSTORES?

I used to prefer libraries but ever since I got a job I prefer owning my books. Some women buy shoes, I buy books, deal with it.

BOOKS THAT MAKE YOU LAUGH OR CRY?

Hmm both? I like the rare books that make me feel, be it sadness, happiness, or even anger, but I slightly prefer the ones that make me crack up laughing. Have I mentioned Sir Terry Pratchett, our lord and savior?

BLACK BOOK COVERS OR WHITE BOOK COVERS?

Black…like my soul. Haha sorry. 🙂 It just looks better, plus the white covers often smudge and get dirty fast…I like my books clean.

CHARACTER DRIVEN OR PLOT DRIVEN

Umm I think I already answered this in another tag, but well-written characters can save a weak book, but a well-written book with shitty characters just doesn’t work for me.
