TBR Book Tag

I was tagged for this very scary tag by Gerry @ Book Nook UK, who knows all about my TBR issues and pains and she’s probably now wickedly laughing somewhere in London. πŸ˜‰ Anyway, thanks to her, because I just love being tagged in stuff, and you guys make sure to visit her lovely blog, I promise it’s worth it!

How do you keep track of your TBR list?

One word. Goodreads. Is there anything better, really?

Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Hmm, well those are the books I want to read, so I’ll buy some in print, some as e-books and some I’ll get as galleys. There’s only a handful of books on my TBR that I already own, and those are mostly in print.

How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

Sometimes it’s on a whim, or based on how I feel, and sometimes because of a recommendation from a friend.

A book that has been on your TBR the longest

I’ve started to read it in high school, but it was too much for me then, so I plan to read it one of these days.

A book that you recently added to your TBR

I loved The Silent Companions from Purcell and all my friends loved it, so I can’t wait to read this one!

A book on your TBR list strictly because of its beautiful cover

Ugh, there are many. I know I added this particular one without even reading the synopsis, just because I loved the cover.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on actually reading

Why is this even on my TBR? Should I read it? >__>

An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for

Dun dun dun duuuun!

A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you

I had to wait for the whole trilogy to come out before I started reading because I just know I’ll binge read it! This winter is the one!

A book on your TBR everyone recommends you

I love Alice Hoffman and I know I’ll love this one so much, what I’m I waiting ugh?

A book on your TBR you’re very excited to read

I’m so excited to continue with Discworld and I’m extremely happy this is the next one for me as Christmas is approaching!

The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf

2587. Two thousand five hundred and eighty-seven. Yes, I know. My goal is to cut it to 500.

As usual, if you want to do this tag – write yay in the comments and don’t forget to link me back, so I can read your answers! Happy reading! πŸ™‚

  1. Over 2000!!! Ha! Well, to be fair, i tread my goodreads tbr as a list of books not to forget. πŸ˜€ I also have some books on it that make me wonder how they even ended up there.

    1. Hahaha I know, you can try but yours will never be bigger than mine. πŸ˜› However weird that sounds. πŸ˜› Hehe I was just kidding, but I was imagining you as a Disney villain when I wrote that. πŸ˜€ Ughh me too, I just bought part 2 on a book fair, but I’m waiting for snow, the mood will be perfect. πŸ™‚ Though if this weather continues…this is the first time we’re having Halloween in summer wth. :S

      1. No I don’t think mine will ever be as big as yours πŸ˜‰ I would make an awesome Disney villain, Geruella or something! I need to buy book 2 but I’m still waiting to read it until the third is out! Ugh no, sunniness is not a atmospheric Halloween! It’s grotty weather here at the moment, but I’m kind of liking it!

    1. Oooh I am! I’ve been keeping it on my desk for month as I really want to read it, but I’m trying to contain myself until Christmas. πŸ˜€ I think I definitely will! πŸ™‚ Yay, a few months and it’s out! πŸ™‚
