Saturday Aesthetic #1 – The Night Circus

Hullo dear friends! As you’ve had the opportunity to witness yourselves, I’ve been struggling a lot bit with my blog recently, and maybe it has something to do with the fact I haven’t read a single whole book this year *gasp*. So, in order to keep this blog alive until I get my writing/reading on again, I’ve decided to start my own meme. Is that allowed? I hope so, because I don’t care.

I used to do a lot of these book edits/mood boards/aesthetics way back before I started blogging, but I lost most of it in what was known as the blue screen of death incident, BUT, thank heavens for Pinterest, my black hole of joy, where I saved most of the images. I’ve decided to start this new feature off with one of my favorite fantasy books ever, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I don’t think I’ve mentioned if often (At all?) on my blog, but I was recently reminded of it by Kara @ Bernard’s Book Blog, who’s currently reading it. This little novel is *beautiful*, and if you haven’t read it yet, check out my aesthetic below and maybe it will intrigue you enough to pick it up. For all of you who have read it, I hope you’re as excited as I am for Morgenstern’s second novel, which is coming out in November! ❤

So that’s it! Do you like it? What can I do better next time? Should there even be a next time? >__> Have you read The Night Circus and do you oh love it as I do? Oh and btw! About 2 weeks ago, it was my first blog anniversary! Which I’ve missed… So I’m kind of postponing it because why shouldn’t I just postpone everything, right? Actually I wanted to do a small giveaway, and that’s the perfect opportunity so I am postponing it! I’m making some book-themed bookmarks of my own, and I’d like to know if you guys would participate in such a giveaway? I’ll probably do Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, and maybe Hobbit or a Discworld one, not sure yet, and I’d give away 2/3 of each. Let me know if that interests you guys! ❤

    1. Awwe thank you so much!! 💕 Actually, two years before I started my blog, the original idea was to do a collage for each review, and then I started and did a couple and realized how long it takes, so I quit the blogging idea altogether for another 2 years. xD

  2. This is gorgeous! I haven’t read Night Circus yet, but I’ve been convinced by our mutual friend Gerry to give it a go (I’m also very excited for Starless Sea). 😉 And no worries on the blogging breaks! I find it difficult to blog myself when I haven’t had the motivation to read either, so do take your time. Lovely post dear! ❤

    1. Thank you so much! ❤ Hehe have you read it? 🙂 OH me too, can't wait for it to come out! I finally put myself together and I'm back for good! I discovered the ancient and oh so mysterious system of scheduling posts in advance. 😀 Thank you! ❤

      1. Well, welcome back! I have trouble posting on time myself, so I totally feel you. 😉

Ooh yes! I’ve recently read Night Circus and Starless Sea all at once. Dang, that author is one talented lady; her writing is simply beautiful! 😋

        1. Hehe yes, I read both Night Circus and Starless Sea back to back! My friend got an ARC at one of the book cons, and she let me read it first. (Psst, it’s really good!) 😉

  4. omg I would totally participate in that giveaway! 😍 And I love your mood board! I still haven’t finished this book (I started reading Stephen King’s “On Writing”) but I’ve loved what I’ve read so far!
