Saturday Aesthetic #2 – West of the Moon

Hello everyone! Remember this? I made first of these posts way back in March and I loved that you guys loved it so I’m continuing it! It will be a monthly post as it’s just too much work to do it each week, and I’ll post in on the last Saturday of each month. If anyone wants to join in – feel free! πŸ™‚ No rules, just put together a collage of photos expressing the mood of a certain book, add quotes if you want and that’s it!

For this month’s aesthetic I chose West of the Moon by Margi Preus. I’ve talked about it before, but I’ll say it again – West of the Moon is a severely underrated Middle Grade book, which is perfectly fine for adults to read too, and it’s full to the brim of Norwegian folklore.

  1. Ooh, very beautiful graphics! And the book sounds really good too – I’ve never heard of it, but I just added it to my TBR. By the reviews, it sounds kinda dark and weird, which is totally my kind of middle grade read. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for the rec!

    1. Thanks! It is good, I loved it so much so I want to share it around. 😁 Yup, it’s dark, like a true fairy tale, that’s why there’s so much complaining in the reviews on GR, because it’s middle grade. Also, Astri, the main character, is a sassy girl who fends for herself, just like Diana from Alchemist’s daughter and Lyra from His dark materials, just the kind of character I like. 😁
