Top Ten Tuesday: Extraordinary Book Titles

Oh snap. Just recently I was complaining how the book titles (Mainly in fantasy) are becoming too similar and/or generic, and how that area lacks creativity. So how should I dig up ten extraordinary titles in a sea of that? I was thinking very hard for about 15 minutes, and the only title I could think of was Joe Hill’s NOS4A2, but what about the other nine??? So yet again, I took the easy way and just chose ten cool titles I like for one reason or the other. These are all from TBR, so I haven’t read any of these yet.

1. NOS4A2 by Joe Hill

Or NOS4R2 in UK. It’s both a license plate and it reads Nosferatu. That’s cool! I’m guessing it’s also about vampires?

2. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

Sounds pretty cool if you ask me! I want to visit Neverwhere soon!

3. Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

I’ve actually seen the movie and the title is very fitting!

4. Un Lun Dun by China Miéville

= Not London = London through the looking glass. I need to read this!

5. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

What even? I think I added this one to my TBR specifically because of the title!

6. The Rabbit Back Literature Society by Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen

Same as the above. I want to know what kind of society is this.

7. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith

Need to read. Now. Because Jane Austen + Zombies!

8. The Dream-Quest of Vellitt Boe by Kij Johnson

This sounds Lovecraftian and I loooove Lovecraft.

9. Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

Similar to Neverwhere, this is probably and imaginary land? Which I want to visit!

10. That Inevitable Victorian Thing by E.K. Johnston

Victorian! What thing??? I need to find out.

Do you guys think these titles are extraordinary? 🤣Or cool at least? 😀 Which titles would you put on a list like this? Or if you did your TTT today, link it up in the comments! Have a great week everyone, I’m on my way to Belgium so it’s safe to assume my week will be awesome! 😀
