Hello dear readers! It’s Tuesday, and that means TTT! This week’s prompt is Books On My TBR I’m Avoiding Reading and Why, so I’m going to get to the why part right away. Some of you know I have a Good Reads TBR which is in thousands. Yep, you’ve read that right. I want to read all the books, why is that even weird? But I’m trying to manage it, no worries. So, basically, I have too much on my plate, and the only reason I can think of for not reading a certain book is – I’m reading other books. That simple. But, there are some books I’ve been avoiding longer than the others, so I’ll list those. Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and every Tuesday there is a different themed post of top 10 things.
1. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
3. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
4. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
5. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
7. The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
8. These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker, Kelly Zekas
10. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
So, these ten books are at the top of my humongous TBR, and I’d really love to read them as soon as possible. If anyone is interested in buddy reading any of these with me – let me know in the comments! In October I’ll read spookies exclusively, so I can commit to some buddy reads in November at the earliest. Buddy reading is mega awesome, and makes me stick to the schedule, so I’d really love to do this! But be warned – if we start a series together, as 5 from this list are a part of a series, and if we both love the first book, I’ll probably nag you to read the sequels with me too. 🙂
The Nightingale was so good, as was The Bear and the Nightingale. 🙂 And yay for embracing all the spooky reads in October. 😀

I just know I’ll love those books, just have to fit them in soon. 🙂 Of course! My favorite month of the year. 😀 Spooky reads + inktober + The Nightmare Before Christmas re-watch = funnnn!

Haha Yes! Those are ALL great things! I’ve been checking out the Inktober prompts for this year and trying to come up with some ideas. 🙂 Are you going to post your Inktober pieces on your blog? 😀

I’m not actually doing Inktober, instead I’ll be doing Mab’s Drawlloween, by Mab Graves. It’s all Halloweeny themes. 😀 I don’t think I’ll post every day here, I’ll do that on Instagram, but I’ll post my favorites on the October roundup probably. 🙂 Do you have Instagram? Will you be posting there or on your blog? I can’t wait for October. 😀

That’s awesome! I hadn’t heard about Mab’s Drawlloween before. It sounds really cool and I definitely can’t wait to see what you make for it. And, yep, I’m on Instagram, too. 🙂 What do you go by on there? I’d love to follow and see all your cool art posts. ❤ I go by ignitedmoth on Instagram too. I plan to post each day on there and then do like a weekly roundup on here. Yay for all the upcoming art/October fun! 😀

Oooh well she’s on Instagram under Mab Graves, and she’s an amazingly versatile and morbidly quirky artist, I think you’ll love her work! She posts the prompts for Drawlloween there and her own daily illustrations/dolls/cosplays/etc etc. 🙂
Cool, I’ll add you, I’m Mallodora. 😀 I don’t have any cool art posts yet, but I firmly believe I will start doing some as of tomorrow. xD I suck at traditional drawing since I’ve been working digitally for 6 years now, but practice makes perfect, right. :S
Oh cool, that’s not a bad idea! If I do enough good drawings in a week I might do that too. 🙂 Yay!!! 👻🎃💀🕷️🦇

Everyone loves Circe but I’m also too worried to read it. 🙂

Yup, I don’t like when a book is overhyped, but I’ll definitely read it since I love mythology! 🙂

I have Circe and The Bear and the Nightingale on my TBR as well. I keep telling myself I’m going to leave new releases alone so I can finally start making a dent on the list, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Yup, I also tend to focus on new releases, especially with tons of ARCs I request. 😀

You’ve got so many great on your list. I have to mention tue These Vicious Masks series – it doesn’t get nearly the love it deserves. Happy reading if you pick these up!

Thanks Lauren! Yup, I noticed that, though it seems to me like a series I’ll love, we’ll see. 🙂
